Food

Naturally because Dubai is a tourist hotspot, it provides every kind of cuisine on planet earth because of the diversity within the population. With this section, I really wanted to focus on Arab cuisine because authentic food, in my humble opinion, is the only way you can really taste the culture and all of its influences.

The three main Arab staples foods that are recommended for one to try are hummus, tabbouleh, and ghuzi. For those know about hummus, well hummus is essentially a very thick paste made from crushed garbanzo beans or otherwise known as chickpeas. Hummus can go with anything from meats, crackers, and vegetables.  Tabbouleh is  a crushed salad that is made out of wheat, parsley, and mint; however you can add whatever vegetables you like .

Finally, ghuzi is lamb roast with different varieties of rice and nuts, its very much so like a kabab.Although food is very important to me as a tourist, I will not go into the thousands of recipes I have come across. However, one of the top foods dishes I have seen for the Arab cuisine is Shawrama. According to Khanapakana this dish probably the most widely eaten dish in Dubai, it essentially made of lamb or chicken, vegetables, and it is wrapped in a tortilla (very Greek). I attempted to look at the number of restaurants just in Dubai and the number ranges in the thousands category. I have not go any specific number but it is what I have been told. I have attached two videos to this page if you want to try your hand in cooking. Enjoy!
